If you work on a computer all day or spend a lot of time in front of a screen, then keep reading! Staring at a computer screen all day (and yes, reading your Kindle counts) puts a strain on your eyes. A slower blink rate and poor lighting can contribute to computer-related eyestrain. Like you, millions of Americans today suffer from fatigued and overworked eyes as a result of using computers for work, school and entertainment. In addition, prolonged screen time has a strong connection with obesity, and increases the risk of various vision ailments, including blurred vision, loss of focusing power, and dry aching eyes. However, there are at home exercises that you can do that increase the flow of nutrients to the retina, making your eyes stronger and healthier. People who have used these exercises have reported healthier eyes with clearer vision.

Continue reading to learn how to naturally reduce your risk of computer eye strain and other common ailments quickly and easily:

Part 3: Eye Rolling

Human beings were not created to focus long hours on close objects. We were designed for prolonged long distance viewing. Screens and smartphones force users to focus their eyes intently at a close distance for a long time. With all the new technology and gadgets available, almost all of our processing is happening at a near distance putting extra strain on the eye muscles. Luckily there are simple, natural exercises to combat eye strain, like Eye Rolling. Eye rolling stretches and conditions the extraocular muscles which hold the eyes in their sockets, improving nutrient flow around the eyes. It’s as simple as closing your eyes and rolling them around in circular motions. This exercise will lubricate your eyes and ease the strain on the muscles.

Check out this 45-second Eye Rolling exercise below, from Dr. Steven Beresford's Power Vision Program, for how to destrain and refocus your eyes correctly:

More About The Power Vision Program:

The Power Vision program has been developed by Dr. Steven Beresford and his team of optometrists to help people suffering from bad vision. In a clinical study, the Power Vision Program has been proven to effectively improve your vision. The program is composed of simple 2-10 minute therapy techniques that will open your eyes to a brighter, clearer way of seeing. Designed to be quick, simple, and fun, the program offers a manual, exercise tracks, biofeedback eye-charts, and free support. Those who dedicate more time to do the exercises can see better and faster results. The trick is to do something every day, even if only for a minute.

Testimonial: The Numbers Don't Lie

Many who have started the Power Vision Exercise program have seen results within a week, with significant improvement within three weeks. You can even realistically expect to regain normal or near normal vision and stop wearing corrective lenses (or reduce your dependency on them) in nearly six weeks!

Check out Patient X who consistently practiced the vision therapy exercises for about twelve weeks. As you can see, the lens prescription was significantly reduced!
